About the Pharmacy Relief Network

We have been in operation in Canada for the past nine years and have recently expanded to Michigan.  We have licensed pharmacists in Alberta, Ontario and Michigan who are employed by Pharmacy Relief Network.

Our goal is to connect pharmacists in need of time away from the dispensary with relief pharmacists and to negotiate on behalf of both parties.

The pharmacies receive top quality pharmacists, and obtain the well deserved time off they were requesting.

With such a shortage of pharmacists we are trying to assist pharmacies as much as possible.

Our procedure for pharmacy relief works is as follows:

  1. Once PRN receives a request from a pharmacy for a specific time and date we post the job on our web site and we go to our list of pharmacists and see who has the correct computer skills and who is available for work.

  2. If the pharmacist is suited for the job PRN will contact the pharmacist and see if he/she is interested.

  3. If the pharmacist is interested he/she will be asked what wage is expected, if traveling expenses, food allowance and accommodation are required.

  4. After the pharmacist(s) has made a bid on the job, PRN will contact the pharmacy and let them know what their options are.

  5. The pharmacy then decides if they would like to accept/decline/or negotiate the offer (s).

  6. Once an agreement is arranged PRN will confirm the pharmacist.  Then a quote is sent to the pharmacy to estimate the total cost of service.
